The ER Clinical Nurse Manager reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and partners closely with the Emergency Department Medical Director. Direct reports to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager include charge nurses, staff RNs techs unit clerks and EMTs. The role collaborates daily with hospitalists emergency physicians respiratory therapy radiology and patient access to optimize flow. The ER Clinical Nurse Manager leads a busy emergency unit that sees varied acuity with seasonal surges and steady daily volume in acute care.

The ED Nurse Manager guides a multidisciplinary team of dozens of FTEs in an environment that is fast paced supportive and mission driven. Strong physician partners skilled techs and compassionate nurses deliver safe timely care across the lifespan. The ER Clinical Nurse Manager advances clinical excellence through education competency validation mentoring and evidence based practice.

The ED Nurse Manager drives performance through staffing optimization budget stewardship policy development and daily operations oversight. This role holds twenty four seven accountability for the department and will work one day shift and one night shift as a direct patient RN every six weeks. Quality improvement is core with an annual written report or action plan and active membership with Clinical Managers and the Perinatal Committee alongside hospitalists and emergency physicians.
