Role: Private Credit Middle Office Operations Senior Associate

Firm: Hedge Fund with over $10bn AUM

Location: Dallas or Los Angeles

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate trade allocations with Portfolio Managers, Treasury and Trading Operations, including when to utilize leverage versus cash on settlements
• Manage paying down loan facilities when capital is deployed in master fund structure
• Maintain the Leverage Facility Management Tool and any external resources
• Maintain the various covenants of leverage facilities on a quarterly basis
• Calculate asset back facility (ABF) waterfalls
• Monitor ABF cash accounts/money markets
• Coordinate with Tax on use of leverage and Blocker fundings mechanics
• Assist with communicating internally and preparing of funding requests
• Monitor ongoing obligations and certain conditions of any credit facility and coordinate with the relevant internal teams to ensure compliance with the same, including, but not limited to, affirmative covenants (such as financial deliverables and compliance certificates), negative covenants (such as financial covenant testing), and reps and warranties bring-downs, and events of default.
• Participate in facility process, particularly in coordination with Legal, Treasury/Portfolio Finance and Back Office, including: (i) Assessing and providing input on existing internal processes and the facility requirements; (ii) Assisting in obtaining and coordinating internal stakeholder feedback on facility requirements
• Assist Legal with the preparation of facility “trackers”, summarizing and highlighting ongoing obligations of the relevant fund in respect of a credit facility, and certain key terms therein, as well as identifying internal groups primarily responsible for satisfying such obligations
• Coordinate with internal teams pertaining to relevant facility collateral arrangements, both pre-and-post closing, for purposes of providing the lender necessary information regarding the same (e.g. investor commitments data for subline, or underlying-asset specific data for asset-based facility)
• Calendar significant dates and deadlines under any facility, such relevant interest payment dates and facility maturity dates, and communicating the same to relevant internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses
• Maintain database of all facility documentation
• Serve as internal point person for credit facility status requests and general inquiries, and coordinator of appropriate internal stakeholders’ input regarding the same
• Support funding process for whole loan programs
