Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Min = $16.00

Mid = $18.40

Max = $20.80

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of individuals with medical needs, facilitating their ride to and from medical appointments, discharges to home, and other essential healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring punctuality and reliability. Assist patients as needed during boarding, disembarking and through the duration of the trip.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all time, including regular sanitization procedures.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and dispatchers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules. Able to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients at all times.
  • Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with patients, providing a supportive and reassuring presence.
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Bilingual - Spanish
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • YRMC Fleet Safety Clearance
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with patients and families.
  • Previous experience in transportation or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
