About the Role

As our EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting work areas and procedures, recommending improvements, and coordinating compliance efforts with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. You’ll help build a culture of safety and sustainability while supporting operations through practical, impactful EHS programs.

Responsibilities

Regulatory & Compliance

• Interpret OSHA regulations and implement incident prevention programs
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal EHS requirements
• Coordinate audits and inspections; act as in-house audit coordinator
• Maintain SDS and required safety documentation (OSHA 300, Inspection Records, etc.)

Program Management & Training

• Develop and deliver engaging EHS training sessions
• Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSA)
• Lead emergency response planning and drills
• Track EHS performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities

Incident Response

• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
• Identify root causes and assist with corrective action planning
• Monitor exposure risks (ergonomics, noise, mechanical, chemical, biological)

Environmental Stewardship

• Handle HAZ/NON-HAZ/universal waste disposal and reporting
• Prepare and submit monthly DMRs (Discharge Monitoring Reports)

Administrative Support

• Organize and lead safety committee meetings
• Prepare reports, presentations, and compliance documentation
• Support cross-functional teams with EHS insights and recommendations

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in an EHS-related role
• Strong understanding of cGMP, FDA regulations, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
